The 7D Adventure in Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge tends to be a common tourist attraction for iconic destinations such as Dollywood and the Smoky Mountains, but one of the best things to do in Pigeon Forge is to visit 7D Adventure

If you’re looking for something fun for a group of friends or the family 7D Adventure offers an immersive gaming experience that allows for competition and cooperation. And it’s all at The Island in Pigeon Forge.

7D Adventure At The Island In Pigeon Forge

The Island in Pigeon Forge is an area in Downtown that features plenty of shops, restaurants, and experiences. There’s free parking available, and then you can ride the tram into the heart of The Island.

Inside the Island, you can ride The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel or pick up some Moonshine, but for one of the most exciting things to do in Pigeon Forge, you’ll want to go to the 7D Adventure. It’s the world’s first 7D experience, meaning you not only experience the sights and sounds, but you also feel the game through movement, wind, and other senses.

How 7D Adventure Works

The 7D Adventure is a simple space with the front counter and the experience room. At the counter, you can buy a one ride or two ride combo, and you’ll then be escorted into the adventure room and given 3d glasses, and the 7D Adventure Gun.

From there, you’ll buckle up into your seat (there are about 12 in the room) and prepare for the adventure to start. There is typically a choice of two or three games where you are shooting bad guys; although this is a cooperative game and you’ll be working together with your team, you’ll also be able to compete against them with points since the game keeps the score of each player which can even land you in the hall of fame.

While you play, you’ll be immersed in the elements of the game: the chair will shake and vibrate in reaction to what’s going on in the screen, you’ll be surrounded by the sounds of the space, and you’ll experience the wind.

7D Adventure is an Adventure for the Whole Family

7D Adventure is a good choice for things to do in Pigeon Forge for the family because it works for all ages. It can get the whole family engaged and working together and for seniors the chair can be turned off for better back support and comfort.

The story elements are appropriate for younger ages and there isn’t an unsuitable level of violence, even though you are shooting monsters and zombies. The experiences also aren’t too long so people won’t be left feeling uncomfortable after sitting for an extended period.
