New Buzzsaw Swing Ride, Restaurant Among Latest Fun-filled Experience at Branson Sawmill
BRANSON, Mo. (June 12, 2019) – FACE Amusement Group has announced several additions and enhancements at their newly-named Branson Sawmill entertainment complex (2115 West 76 Country Boulevard), including the grand opening of The Branson Buzzsaw, a thrilling new swing ride, and a fast casual restaurant, The Heartwood. Spinning thrill seekers more than 120 feet above the ground, the new Branson Buzzsaw swing ride is a perfect companion to the park’s 3,980-foot Branson Coaster, which opened in July 2017. Replicating the early pioneer lifestyle, The BransonSawmill entertainment center conveys the look and feel of the 1870s era while perfectly blending a path to modern time. In addition to the new attraction and restaurant, the 15-acre complex has introduced themed characters and stories to enrich the Sawmill experience. ‘
With multiple additions to the property, The Branson Sawmill announced an all-new Season Pass for the remainder of 2019, including unlimited admission on the Branson Buzzsaw and Branson Coaster with a 20% discount at The Heartwood restaurant. To sweeten the deal, pass holders also receive unlimited admission to Mirror Maize and 7D Dark Adventure Ride located at the Branson Landing. For a limited time, The Branson Sawmill is offering a “Grand Opening Special Pricing” deal which allows guests to purchase an all-day all you can ride pass for $29.99.
“The Branson Buzzsaw is taking family amusement to new heights here in the Ozarks – literally – and The Heartwood Restaurant will feed the fun,” said Bucky Mabe, CEO of FACE Amusement Group. “Like all our venues, this expansion creates a new dimension of fun for guests of all ages who are looking for world-class thrills and unparalleled customer service.”
Inspired by 1870s sawmills, railroads and early trailblazers of the region, the Branson Buzzsaw features open-air swings that comfortably seat two riders each, lifting a total of 24 guests to the top of a 123-foot tower where they spin at 10 revolutions per minute. Guests are provided a heart-pumping, unforgettable view from above during the delightfully dizzying ride. Stone County and Taney County residents will receive a discount (with valid ID).
The expansion joins the first double Alpine coaster in North America, The Branson Coaster. The 3,980-foot-long ride reaches speeds over 25 miles per hour while zigzagging riders through 11 curves and one helix on the winding track. The Branson Coaster is a proud recipient of the 2019 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, which is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor worldwide.
Back on the ground, guests can head for the new Heartwood Restaurant, where Corporate Executive Chef Michael Thompson will take their taste buds for a spin. An alumnus of The Walt Disney Company, Chef Michael has created a menu inspired by the region, featuring a variety of shared snacks, crispy flatbreads and sandwiches. For those wanting to bring the Branson Sawmill charm home, the Tree Top Merchandise Shop features high-end goods and apparel.
In addition to the new developments at Branson Sawmill, FACE Amusement Group offers three other locations at Branson Landing: Arcade City Branson, 7D Dark Adventure Ride and Mirror Maize. Aiming to bring out the competitive spirt of the whole family, FACE Amusement Group specializes in games of skill and rides that thrill.
